Vietnam Virtual Writing Center
Funded by the Regional English Language Office -the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, this project aims to set up and pilot a model of a virtual writing support center (VWSC) in 10 selected higher education institutions in Vietnam.
The project activities focus on familiarizing higher education institutions with the implementation of a writing center, providing writing support for university students, and offering a range of training opportunities for both teachers and students in various topics related to English academic writing, academic integrity, referencing, the use of AI tools in academic writing, STEM research writing, and much more.

- Guidance and support to set up and operate a writing center model.
- Free writing support in various types of writing, including but not limited to academic essays, letters, assignments, research reports, etc.
- Free science writing support for STEM disciplines.
- Free online learning courses for students to enhance writing skills.
- Free online learning courses for teachers to facilitate teaching writing skills and establishing a writing center.
- Practical workshops in using AI tools, referencing, technology-enhanced academic writing, STEM writing, and more – also free.
The project will be implemented in one year. Hopefully at the end of the project, project outcomes will help shape the landscape of a writing center within the unique confines of Vietnamese higher education institutions.
